Olympus Trail 2.6.11

Slide for life, melt/Freeze cycle snow dominated the trail past the creek, so I took it as a sign to turn back push the downhill pace and go get food before seeing the film 127 hours @ Park City Film Series. 65 min. Up and back from the creek. The Millcreek sous chef and Hiker bros, said it was passable with yak traks and ski poles, hummm??, see if I can get my game on and summit this trail in the winter. —xojk

Sun Valley Bust

After the Drive By Truckers Concert in Sun Valley about thirty of us almost got tickets because we didn’t have headlamps on the bike path, LAME, We were threatened with a $37.50 fine, Mr. Reno 911 then gave my drunk cute younger girlfriends a ride into town. Priorities.

Mental Koan Rehearsal 539.17

Over pizza he looked right through me
And asked “Are You In Your DarK Night of Your Soul?”
“Yes, I Think I am Pretty Much There”, I said with a shrug
“I see” He said and just Nodded, eating a slice of cheese pizza with no toppings
I looked the other way, but what I should have asked was “And how long does the dark night last?”
I can just imagine his Zen/ Yogi reply “As long as it needs to, Dakini”

Trail Report 1.29.11

Killians, Emigration Canyon, This trail is in great shape right now, packed powder turning to a soft corn for some give and traction. The trail head was above the inversion so sunny skies and ten degrees warmer temps, were enjoyed. Ran up on some topless male runners, working at getting there vit D, dang it, I should have worn the right sports bra, but oh well, felt the warm rays and spring like conditions through my bones. At one point the 25 degree corn snow slope allowed the dogs to run frantic and snow slide on their backs 200 ft towards the connector trail. Made it to the saddle to check out the next drainage over, Checked out the BRINK, doable on skis or snow shoes.
Spring like semi supportable corn snow made trail running dreammy. :)—xoxojk

Fast Track

Hard Pack, Fast, no powder just how I like my skate track… The US ski team nordi men made the track seem effortless with a push of a pole, push of a ski… the dogs killed it running all out for 15k—xojk

Round Valley Romp #4

Clearest day yet in Park City, Picked up Lily booh so she could get some of her labrador pounds moving. Second day of pushing the skate skiing and it felt like the best I have felt in Years. Sun, movement, protein, thyroid support, girlfriend support, I just might be healing. —xojk

Shaman Studies

Some how shamans have been showing up in my life, one drove a silver BMW and told me I had a knife in my back, one helped me work at releasing the knife in my heart, and the last one linked up and cleared my life of the stabbing knives from past situations. Beating drums, blowing smoke, and clearing old energies, I had no idea this type of energy work existed until this year! Be careful of the adventures you ask for they just may come true.—xojk
